Social media influencer 'Liver King' arrested in Texas

AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) Authorities in Austin, Texas, have arrested Brian Johnson, known online as the social media influencer “Liver King,” according to jail records.

He faces one charge of terroristic threat, a Class B misdemeanor.

Sources confirmed with affiliate KXAN that the Brian Johnson listed in the jail log is in fact the social media influencer.

Investigators have not yet confirmed to whom the alleged threat was made.

In an Instagram video Johnson posted on June 23, he says, “Joe Rogan, I’m calling you out, my name’s Liver King. Man to man, I’m picking a fight with you. I have no training in Jiu-jitsu, you’re a black belt, you should dismantle me. But I’m picking a fight with you. Your rules, I’ll come to you, whenever you’re ready.”

An additional Instagram video posted around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday shows a person who appears to be Johnson, wearing a burgundy hoody and pants, handcuffed and getting into a police vehicle.

Attorney information was not listed for Johnson.
