Springfield Police, Boys and Girls Club celebrate new community basketball court


SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — On Monday afternoon, Springfield leaders came together to celebrate the launch of a new outdoor basketball court at the Boys and Girls Club of Springfield. This initiative, they emphasized, extends beyond just playing basketball.

The Springfield Police Department sponsored the court, with funding from a Community Connections Grant courtesy of State Sen. Doris Turner (D-Springfield).
