SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah State Lady Tigers Volleyball squad is inviting its supporters to “Pack the Den” this Thursday night, as they aim to break the attendance record for the program.

The Tigers will host the Allen University Yellowjackets in the Tiger Arena at 6 p.m. on Oct. 2.

Students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend the potential-record breaking crowd. Admission is free.

Opio Mashariki, the athletics director, stated, “This presents an opportunity for the whole community to express their pride, back our student-athletes, and assist us in achieving a record that the team will always remember. We want Tiger Arena to roar!”

Free prizes and giveaways will be held throughout the game. SSU encourages fans to arrive early for chances to win the prizes.

The Tigers are currently 7-3 and are on a three-match winning streak. They sit 3-1 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play.

SSU travels to Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina on Tuesday for another SIAC contest.
