JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A tragic incident unfolded Wednesday evening, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist on Carroll Creek Road, close to Bristol Highway, as confirmed by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).

Authorities reported that the accident took place at 6:18 p.m.

The THP detailed that a 2025 Honda CBR motorcycle was heading east on Carroll Creek Road when it veered off the right side of the road, colliding with a guide wire connected to a nearby utility pole.

The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Juergen T Nave, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to THP officials.

It was noted that Nave was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
