Florida teen identified as passenger who died on Carnival cruise ship

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Over the weekend, an 18-year-old passenger from Titusville tragically passed away aboard a Carnival cruise ship, as reported by ABC News.

The Carnival Horizon, having returned to Miami on Saturday, became the center of an investigation concerning the passenger’s untimely death.

The individual has been identified as Anna Kepner, a senior from Temple Christian School in Titusville.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, Temple High School commemorated Kepner, stating, “You were a radiant, compassionate individual whose presence lit up the classroom. Your inquisitive nature, gentle demeanor, and care for others left an indelible mark on all of us.”

Carnival Cruise Line is actively collaborating with the FBI’s Miami office to delve into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Our focus is on supporting the family of our guest and cooperating with the FBI,” Carnival Cruise Line said in a statement.

James Marshall, an FBI Miami spokesman, said the office responded to the scene, but did not have any further information.

Details surrounding her death have not been released.
