() The search for the Washington father who is accused of killing his three daughters is still on as police release a new update on the case.

According to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement has been searching “dozens of structures and the forests.” In a Facebook post, the agency said: “We continue these search efforts, acting upon gathered information and tips from the public, and leads developed through even more search warrants.”

The agency also announced that roadblocks would be removed and is opening Icicle River Road because it has found “no credible threat in that area.” They are also allowing the reopening of recreation areas in the county, but they still cautioned the public to stay vigilant.

Washington sisters found dead after visit with father

Three Washington sisters were found near their father’s vehicle, close to a campground west of Wenatchee, Washington, according to police. The girls’ mother had reported them missing a few days before after Decker allegedly failed to return them after a planned visit.

Travis Decker has previous military experience: Spokesperson

The 32-year-old Decker joined the Army in 2013 before transferring to the Washington National Guard in 2021, a spokesperson from the Washington Military Department said. He had been a full-time member of the National Guard before he allegedly switched to part-time sometime between 2023 and 2024.

Karina Shagren, the spokesperson from the Washington Military Department, told The Associated Press that Decker had stopped his mandatory monthly drills about a year ago.

Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison told that the father’s background could help him in mountainous terrain.

Morrison also stated that Decker’s father informed the agency that his son has enjoyed being in the wilderness since childhood. He is also known to cache supplies in remote areas.

“If he did set it up beforehand and put supplies out there, it could make it more difficult to track him down,” Morrison said.

Travis Decker seen on Ring footage before daughters’ death

The video below was shared by the sheriff’s department and shows Decker on the day the girls were reported missing.

Decker is described as 190 pounds and 5 feet, 8 inches tall with brown eyes and black hair. He was allegedly last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and darker colored shorts. He is wanted for three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.

Police have asked residents in the area to check their doorbell cameras and security cameras for any potential sightings of Decker. They also advised that if someone spots something unusual in the woods or at a recreation area, they should note the time and location, marking the location on their phones if possible.

If you believe you see Decker, you should call 911 and do not talk to or approach him. The agency has a tip line set up at 509-667-6845, as well as online.
