GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — Early on Friday morning, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) registered a minor earthquake in Greeneville, measuring a magnitude of 1.9.

According to the USGS, the earthquake happened near Doughtys Chapel Road.

The earthquake was reported just after 4:30 a.m.

The earthquake had a depth of about 1.12 miles.

As of 6 a.m. on Friday, six people who felt the earthquake had submitted a response survey to the USGS.
