Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie’s got some fresh ink.

The actress, 46, recently added a quote from astronomer Galileo Galilei on her forearm, and revealed the tattoo while out in NYC last week.

The design reads “eppur si muove,” which translates to “and yet it moves” in Italian. The quote dates back to 1633, when Galilei was forced to recant his (true) statement that the Earth moves around the Sun.

Part of a larger statement by the scientist, the phrase served as his defiant assertion that the truth would one day prevail.

The design peeked out from beneath the sleeve of Jolie’s white Everlane T-shirt ($18), which she wore with a gray midi skirt and Salvatore Ferragamo mules ($595).

The star has plenty of other tattoos inspired by her travels, her charity work, her children and pugnacious attitude.

The newest addition sits above another philosophical quote — a line from a poem by Rumi that reads, “There exists a field, beyond all notions of right and wrong. I will meet you there.”

Jolie is currently in New York to celebrate her birthday with her family, amid her custody battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

During her trip, the “Maleficent” star grabbed a hot dog, visited art galleries in Brooklyn and even stopped by ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller’s apartment.

Though all seven of her children joined her for the New York trip, Jolie arrived at Miller’s home without so much as a bodyguard, as Page Six exclusively reported earlier this week. She exited a few hours later, also solo.
