Inside the home were three individuals: two women aged 45 and 23, along with a seven-year-old child. Thankfully, none of them sustained injuries during the incident.

A firearm was recovered from the charred vehicle and is currently undergoing forensic testing.

Detective Inspector Ricki Lindner said the occupants of the home were “quite rattled”.

“It’s not a nice thing to have occurred to them and it’s outrageous that this sort of thing is happening in the community,” Lindner said.

Lindner said police believe the incident was targeted.
