Police continue searching the areas surrounding Gin Gin and Bundaberg as they probe into the disappearance of 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, who was last seen over a week ago.

Pheobe had purchased a ticket to fly to Western Australia via Brisbane last Thursday to visit her boyfriend, but she did not board her flight at Bundaberg Airport.

Her roommates were the last people to see her when they dropped her outside the airport at 8.30am.

But police say she never entered the terminal.

“Police have reviewed CCTV from the airport, which indicates that she did not enter the terminal,” Detective Acting Inspector Ryan Thompson said.

The vehicle Pheobe’s roommates used to drive her to the airport, a grey Hyundai ix35, as well as the residence in Gin Gin where all three lived, have been declared active crime scenes.

Police this morning confirmed no one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing.

Investigators are working to piece together Pheobe’s movements on May 15 and have asked the public to come forward with dash cam or CCTV footage of the grey Hyundai ix35, with Queensland registration 414EW3, near the Airport Drive and Samuels Road area in Bundaberg and also the Gin Gin area.

Pheobe’s boyfriend told 9News yesterday that he was devastated and couldn’t believe the situation was real but was holding up okay.

Phoebe’s mum, Kylie Johnson, said the family’s “heartache and pain is raw and real”.

“We as a family are trying to hang onto the light of life that is our Free Spirited Gypsy Soul Phee Phee,” she posted on Facebook.

“Phee we need you home, we need to hear your sassy voice and feel your hugs.”

Pheobe is described as approximately 180 centimetres tall with a pale complexion, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.

She was last seen carrying luggage and wearing a green tank top and grey tracksuit pants.
