A young boy is in a critical condition after a tragic fall from a moving train in Sydney’s southern suburbs.

The 13-year-old boy fell from the train and landed on the tracks near Engadine, suffering severe head injuries.

Emergency services quickly responded to the incident, arriving at the Princes Highway near Heathcote Road around 8:20 p.m.

Paramedics from NSW Ambulance provided immediate medical care to the boy at the scene.

He was subsequently transported to The Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick, where he remains in a critical condition.
