The “Vinnies Finds” platform presents a curated collection of pieces ranging from luxury brands to more approachable ones.

Customers have the opportunity to purchase pre-owned items at great prices while contributing positively with each purchase.

“The next generation desires unique and distinctive items, and they are also significantly more sustainable,” said stylist Donny Galella.

“It’s probably not the face of Vinnies that people know,” St Vincent de Paul Society NSW chief executive Yolanda Saiz said.

“Each item is given an individual barcode so once it’s ordered online it’s really easy for us to find and we pick and pack that very same day.”

Vinnies retail started in Sydney with the first shop opening in an old paddock shed in Newtown in 1922.

Despite the new online offering, the roughly 600 outlets across the country are not at risk.

And the charity’s purpose hasn’t changed 

“People at the margins, the most vulnerable, the most disadvantaged, they’re the people we help,” Saiz said.
