Bill Belichick’s former cheerleader girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, appeared to miss her first UNC home game of the season Saturday night, just hours after reports of their previously private breakup surfaced.
TMZ reported Friday that the couple, whose relationship drew attention partly because of their 49-year age difference, ended their romance late last year but chose not to make the split public.
Despite that reported separation, Belichick and Hudson continued to appear close in public. The pair were even photographed holding hands at the Kentucky Derby in May.
Hudson had been a familiar presence on the UNC sideline, attending every home game this season as well as several road contests. However, she was absent when North Carolina faced Miami, appearing to avoid the spotlight after the breakup news dominated headlines.
Belichick, meanwhile, carried on as usual in his UNC hoodie, coaching from the sideline as his team suffered a narrow defeat against Miami, ranked No. 1 in college football.
The atmosphere in Chapel Hill was electric, but 25-year-old Hudson did not take her customary place alongside players and staff during the high-profile matchup.

In the weeks leading up to the game, Hudson had attended home matchups against Syracuse, Notre Dame and East Tennessee State. She also accompanied Belichick for UNC’s major road win over Duke two weeks earlier.
The two were seen smiling at one another as they left the field after that victory, before reports of their breakup became public.
This time, Belichick was missing the support he had regularly received from Hudson, although her absence did not appear to affect UNC as the team battled Miami throughout a thrilling fourth-quarter shootout.
The 74-year-old coach also showed plenty of emotion, appearing to channel his younger self when he angrily confronted a referee over a late call he clearly found confusing.
TMZ’s Friday report that Belichick and Hudson had ended their relationship in 2025 reportedly surprised many people, including members of the UNC staff who said they had not known the couple had separated.
USA Today quoted two staffers who said they were “caught off-guard” by the news, acknowledging that they had been “not aware” the relationship was over.
According to TMZ, Belichick and Hudson remain “close friends” and continue working together through their business interests. Hudson is listed as a director of several companies, even as the outlet has reported that she has moved on and dated multiple men this year.
Reports about Hudson’s dating life emerged alongside a collection of resurfaced photographs published by Our News Outlet, showing the pair holding hands or linking arms at events throughout 2026.
In April, Hudson referred to Belichick as “Bill the WAG” in a post showing him supporting her at a cheerleading competition. One month later, the two were photographed holding hands as they made their way through the mud at the Kentucky Derby.

Photographers also captured the pair sitting with their arms intertwined during a UNC basketball game in Chapel Hill in February, at least two months after their reported breakup.
Our News Outlet has contacted both Belichick and Hudson for comment.
During their relationship, Hudson also built a property portfolio reportedly worth $9 million, according to an earlier report from Our News Outlet.
She purchased at least four homes after meeting the former New England Patriots coach, including one valued at approximately $3 million.
Hudson has reportedly paid off the mortgages on all of the properties. Her main residence is said to be a two-bedroom cottage on Cape Cod.
Public records further indicate that she has registered 18 companies, several of whose names suggest she held, or continues to hold, a role in Belichick’s business affairs.
During their time together, Hudson was described as Belichick’s de facto manager. While their romantic relationship may have ended, reports indicate that she remains connected to him professionally.
Her influence over Belichick’s affairs became especially prominent during a CBS Sunday Morning interview in April 2025.
Although Hudson remained off camera, she interrupted reporter Tony Dokoupil’s questions about how the couple met, calling out: “We’re not talking about this.”
CBS aired several of Hudson’s interruptions during the interview. TMZ later reported that she “walked out and delayed filming by 30 minutes” and even corrected Belichick while he was answering a question about football.

Belichick was also forced to reject claims in September that Hudson had been attempting to control UNC’s football program. Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, he dismissed the accusations as “ridiculous.”
Asked about reports that Hudson was involved in nearly every aspect of his life, Belichick called the claim a “flat-out lie.”
Before dating Hudson, Belichick was married to Debby for 30 years. The couple separated before the 2004 NFL season.
He later spent approximately 16 years in a relationship with Linda Holliday, from 2007 until 2022.
