Dramatic footage from a Bronx rodeo on Sunday showed a bull rider hurled from an agitated animal and trampled as shocked spectators looked on.
The NYPD said the injured rider, a 25-year-old man, was thrown during a sanctioned rodeo event held on Bruner Avenue in Baychester.
Video obtained by The Post appeared to show the rider losing consciousness while still on the bull, possibly after hitting his head.
In the clip, the rider’s hat flies off as the powerful bull thrashes him about, his arms hanging limp while he is tossed like a rag doll.
The animal then kicks its hind legs into the air, jolting the rider repeatedly before he is launched from its back and crashes onto the dirt.
But the man’s foot appeared to remain trapped in a stirrup, leaving him dangerously pinned beneath the bull, the footage showed.
Spectators could be heard yelling in panic as the animal dragged and trampled the rider across the arena floor.

Several event staff members rushed into the pen to intervene while the bull kept spinning and kicking at the injured man.
Eventually, the rider was freed and carried off by a group of men. People were seen attending to him and waving fans in front of his face.
The man was brought to the hospital in stable condition, cops said.
Witnesses said the bull rider appeared to be briefly unconscious and bleeding after the vicious attack.
“My buddy got hurt a little bad,” fellow bull rider Gato told The Post.
“He was hit pretty hard. He was doing his thing on the bull, but he got caught up in the spins, man, and he got hit on top, threw down, stepped on, got unconscious,” Gato said. “Hope he’s alright.”
Audience member Osvaldo Sanchez said that, though the event was shocking, there’s always a risk of injury while bull riding.
“There were a lot of young kids also obviously witnessed this, and they were also like worried about what has happened,” Sanchez said. “I already had experience of all of that, so I was really used to it. I didn’t mind recording it, like really up close.”
