Brian “Nashville” Duckworth, the admired country singer and member of the family group Taylor Made, has died at 56.
Duckworth died at his home in Clarksburg, West Virginia. His obituary did not identify a cause of death, according to his obituary.
He performed as a singer and songwriter with Taylor Made alongside his sister, Wendy Williams, and brother, Greg Duckworth.
Music held “a special part of his life,” his obituary said. Duckworth “loved to sing and proudly performed with his family band” and “never passed up an opportunity to share his voice,” which earned him the affectionate nickname “Nashville.”
Taylor Made became known for its distinctive three-part harmonies, created by the three siblings.
The brothers and sister began singing together on the porch of their home in Taylor County, West Virginia.

The group’s breakthrough came when legendary Nashville manager Dale Morris discovered them competing in—and winning—the Colgate Country Showdown.
Morris, who represented major country acts including Kenny Chesney and Alabama, recommended changing the band’s name from I-79 to Taylor Made. He also helped the siblings begin their radio career.
Taylor Made scored a hit with “Things You Don’t Grow Out Of” in 2012. The following year, Nashville’s MusicRow Magazine selected the group as Independent Artist of the Year, according to Billboard.
“Three kids from the back porch have to have a lot of help to get the exposure,” Duckworth told the outlet. “We’re just excited about each and every step along the way.”
Taylor Made later opened concerts for country stars including Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley.
Duckworth’s other passion was his job as dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating.
‘He was the ‘Truck Boss,’ a job he truly enjoyed because it allowed him to spend his days outdoors. Whether working or relaxing, Brian was happiest surrounded by nature,’ his obituary read.
‘Brian’s love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.’
Duckworth is survived by his wife of more than 15 years, Tina Scheuvront Duckworth.

He is also survived by his six children, Zach Morris, Ashton Goines, Logan Duckworth, Kayla Starkey, Michael Starkey, and Matt Starkey; four grandchildren, five sisters and brothers, and his pets.
Duckworth was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Keith Duckworth, and father-in-law, Robert ‘Bob’ Lee Scheuvront.
He will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Garden in Grafton, West Virginia on Tuesday, September 15.
