Danish lawmaker shocks MS NOW with shocking slur at key Trump aide

In a startling moment on live television, a Danish lawmaker left an MS NOW anchor taken aback with a controversial comment directed at Stephen Miller, the White House deputy chief of staff, following Miller’s assertions about U.S. intentions to acquire Greenland.

The incident unfolded when Rasmus Jarlov, a member of the Danish parliament, voiced a harsh critique of Miller during an interview, labeling his mindset as akin to that of a “rapist.” This prompted an immediate apology from anchor Alex Witt, who addressed the audience in response to the unexpected outburst.

The exchange was sparked by a segment showing Miller on Fox News, where he articulated reasons for the U.S. taking control of Greenland. Miller described Denmark as “a tiny country with a tiny economy and a tiny military,” suggesting that Denmark was incapable of defending or managing Greenland effectively. He argued that under historical standards of territorial control, Denmark had not met essential criteria such as defense, improvement, and habitation of the territory.

Jarlov, reacting to the clip, did not hold back his disapproval, starkly criticizing Miller’s rhetoric and drawing a provocative parallel between his diplomatic stance and predatory behavior.

‘To control a territory, you have to be able to defend a territory, improve a territory, inhabit a territory. Denmark has failed on every single one of these tests,’ he added.

After Witt played a clip of Miller’s remarks for Jarlov, the Denmark legislator didn’t mince words as he compared Miller’s approach to international diplomacy to that of a sexual predator.

‘I hope he’s kept away from young women, because that’s the mentality of a rapist,’ Jarlov responded.

‘You can’t defend yourself, so I’m going to take you. That’s basically what he’s saying.’

Jarlov went on to reject Miller’s interpretation of international law, insisting the United States has long recognized Denmark’s authority over Greenland.

‘United States have signed several treaties with Denmark recognizing the ownership, one of them was in 1917,’ Jarlov said.

He warned that Washington’s posture risked shattering trust between allies.

‘So, this is a new position from the American government, and we have to be able to trust the promises, the words and the alliances that we make with the Americans, because otherwise it’s not worth anything, being an ally of the Americans,’ he said.

‘And I think it’s very crucial that we stay together because our alliance, our partnership, has kept us safe.’

The explosive moment came as President Donald Trump once again escalated pressure on Denmark and Greenland as he suggested the United States had a legal and strategic right to take control of the autonomous territory.

Before cutting to commercial break, Witt stepped in to distance the network from Jarlov’s language.

‘I will say that there was a very harsh analogy that you made there at the top of this answer,’ Witt told him.

‘I understand that is your opinion and the analogy you wanted to make. I will say that we don’t share in that opinion here at MS NOW, but I do appreciate your conversation overall in all of the points that you have made.’

The explosive exchange aired as tensions over Greenland spilled onto the streets of the Arctic island itself.

On Saturday, thousands of Greenlanders marched across snow and ice in and around the capital city of Nuuk, waving flags and holding signs declaring ‘Greenland is not for sale’ as they protested Trump’s renewed push to bring the strategically located, mineral-rich territory under US control.

The demonstrations culminated near the US Consulate just as news broke that Trump plans to impose a 10 percent import tax starting in February on goods from eight European countries, including the UK, citing their opposition to US claims over Greenland.

Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen joined what organizers described as the largest protest in the island’s history, drawing nearly a quarter of Nuuk’s population.

Solidarity rallies were also held across Denmark, including in Copenhagen, and in Canada’s Inuit-governed territory of Nunavut.

The island, while self-governing, has been under Danish sovereignty since 1814 and remains deeply opposed to any transfer of control.
