DOJ Announces Charges Against Activists Who Allegedly Doxxed an ICE Agent After Following Him Home

Amid the bustling news surrounding James Comey and the two-count indictment against him that dominated headlines from Thursday through late Friday, it’s understandable that other significant developments from the Justice Department might have gone unnoticed. In light of a recent shooting targeting ICE personnel at the Dallas facility, what is being reported is seriously concerning, if accurate.

Earlier on Friday, my colleague Bob Hoge noted that California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom was already facing challenges. This came after Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli notified him and the Democrat-controlled legislature that the law prohibiting face coverings for state and federal law enforcement officers is not going to be upheld:

The Department of Homeland Security has already informed Newsom and California that the law is dead on arrival. Now, U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli has issued a written notice stating that he will direct federal officers to continue their duties as usual—and that anyone attempting to disrupt their operations will encounter significant consequences.
