Rosland Capital, the financial firm that employed former Disney star Erik von Detten, has disclosed more than $63 million in liabilities in a recent bankruptcy filing.
In a disclosure statement dated October 29 and reviewed by Our News Outlet, the company reported owing creditors a total of $63,695,060.86.
The amount was detailed Thursday in a filing with the Los Angeles Division of the Central District of California’s US Bankruptcy Court. The figure was first reported by TMZ.
The bankruptcy proceedings have also drawn scrutiny to von Detten, who creditors accuse of failing to cooperate with an investigation into Rosland Capital. The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors made the allegation in a motion filed October 14.
According to the motion, the 44-year-old former child actor has not provided key records requested by the committee. The creditors are asking the court for permission to subpoena von Detten for the documents.
Our News Outlet has contacted representatives for von Detten and Rosland Capital for comment but has not received a response.

The disclosure follows a lawsuit naming the actor and Rosland Capital in allegations of fraud and elder abuse brought by a married couple.
Norman Greenberg, 97, and Sheila Greenberg, 85, filed the case in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to legal documents obtained by Our News Outlet.
Rosland Capital, which also employed actor William Devane as a spokesperson, is a precious-metals asset management company that sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July.
In a bankruptcy court filing, the creditors’ committee said it “has begun to piece together the facts which are central to the case.” The committee said von Detten appears to have “played an instrumental part in” the company’s operations and financial collapse.
The committee further alleged that von Detten was “deeply involved in” Rosland Capital and may possess information and records that could assist its investigation.
The filing said the committee’s inquiry indicates that von Detten played an important role in bringing in customers for the company.
In their lawsuit, the Greenbergs alleged that Rosland Capital targeted older consumers by exploiting concerns about financial security and promoting gold and other precious metals as stable investments. They said they contacted the company in 2020 after seeing a television advertisement and were connected with von Detten.
The couple claimed they told the actor they knew little about gold but had approximately $2 million in retirement savings. They alleged that von Detten presented himself as knowledgeable about the metal and assured them he could help manage their investment.

The Greenbergs alleged that they placed two orders for Lady Liberty gold through von Detten, spending roughly $1 million, but never received the coins. Instead, they said the purchases were sent to a storage facility, after which von Detten allegedly arranged another $1 million coin purchase.
They later claimed they discovered that the coins were worth considerably less than the amount they had paid and had been sold at a substantial markup.
According to the lawsuit, the couple invested $2.1 million in total, while the coins were worth only about $1.3 million.
They are seeking $900,000 in damages to recoup their alleged losses, along with punitive damages.
Rosland Capital filed for bankruptcy in July after facing severe financial pressure, along with a series of customer complaints and lawsuits. The company’s employees had been dismissed the month before, in June.
