ZEE5 Global Sets ‘Ayyana Mane’ As Debut Kannada Original

The first Kannada miniseries on South Asian content streamer ZEE5 Global will be Ayyana Mane, which debuts later this month on April 25. The seven-episode supernatural mystery thriller is from Shruthi Naidu Productions and directed by Ramesh Indira. Cast includes Kushee Ravi, Akshya Nayak and Manasi Sudheer. Series is set during the 1990s and follows a bride’s entry into her husband’s ancestral home, which is haunted by a disturbing pattern where no woman has made it out alive. Three daughters-in-law have already died in the powerful Ayyana Mane family, with each death linked to the family’s deity, Kondayya. “Kannada cinema has a rich legacy of storytelling, with audiences deeply connected to stories that blend culture, mystery, and emotion. Ayyana Mane is a perfect example of this – a crime drama infused with supernatural suspense, set in the breathtaking yet enigmatic town of Chikmagalur, where mist-covered hills and age-old traditions create the perfect backdrop for an eerie mystery,” said a ZEE5 Global spokesperson.
