We need to quiz Andrew, said FBI: What the US asked Britain...

An explosive revelation has surfaced, connecting Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to two FBI investigations into child sex trafficking.

A vast collection of letters and police documents linked to the convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein has been released by U.S. authorities, aiming to promote transparency. Within this data dump, certain documents suggest that Andrew might need to address further inquiries.

This extensive document release has prompted scrutiny, particularly due to the extensive redactions made by the Department of Justice. U.S. Democrats in Congress have sharply criticized these actions, labeling them as part of a ‘White House cover-up.’

  • A letter from US authorities demanding an FBI interview with Andrew over his relationship with Epstein and a second millionaire sex offender, Peter Nygard;
  • Emails to Epstein’s girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell from a person calling himself The Invisible Man, believed to be Andrew, asking her to find him ‘some new inappropriate friends’;
  • Demands that Andrew be given immunity from prosecution for giving untrue testimony in the US, and details of the dramatic breakdown in trust between US authorities and Andrew’s lawyers;
  • An email last month from Scotland Yard asking the FBI if any inquiry into Andrew’s relationship with Epstein is ongoing;
  • And a postcard allegedly from Epstein to serial child abuser Larry Nasser, saying Donald Trump ‘shares our love of young, nubile girls’.

Members of the House Oversight Committee have raised alarms, stating, “The newly released DoJ documents bring to light concerning questions about the ties between Epstein and Donald Trump.”

They further questioned, “Why are Epstein’s accomplices being shielded? What more is the DoJ concealing?”

‘Why are Epstein’s co-conspirators being protected? What else is the DoJ hiding?’

The US Department of Justice said that some of the documents it released were ‘untrue and sensationalist’. It also insisted that the postcard purportedly from Epstein to former US Olympic doctor Nassar had been deemed a fake by the FBI.

As it emerged that Andrew has been forced to give up his gun licence after a request from police, a 2020 letter from the DoJ revealed he was wanted for questioning over not one, but two paedophile inquiries.

The ‘Request for Assistance’ asked the UK to arrange for FBI agents to interview the then Duke of York – named as ‘Material Witness PA’ – about his contact with paedophile financier Epstein and, separately, disgraced fashion tycoon Peter Nygard.

It said there was ‘evidence that Prince Andrew engaged in sexual conduct involving one of Epstein’s victims’ and demanded to know details of ‘any sexual encounters and/or romantic relationships’ with ‘any female he met through Maxwell and/or Epstein’, and whether any money had changed hands between them.

Regarding the Nygard probe, to which Andrew has never been formally linked before, the letter said he was known to have visited the mogul’s Bahamas resort, known as ‘Nygard Cay’, adding it was ‘a location where Nygard is believed to have trafficked minor and adult female victims’.

The letter urged UK authorities to ‘conduct a compelled interview of the witness under oath’ if he refused to be interviewed voluntarily, and warned that he could be prosecuted if he lied.

It went on: ‘Prince Andrew is not presently a target of this investigation, and US authorities have not, to date, collected evidence that he committed any crime under US law.’

A dynamite email exchange between US prosecutors and Andrew’s lawyer Gary Bloxome shows why Andrew ultimately refused to be questioned by the FBI.

In an email to assistant US attorney Geoff Berman in August 2020, Mr Bloxome demanded an undertaking that Andrew would not be prosecuted if he gave misleading evidence in an interview.

Mr Berman shot back that he would be unable to grant such immunity, and that he wasn’t aware of any treaty that would prevent the US from prosecuting Andrew for ‘intentional and wilful false or misleading statements’.

In a reference to Andrew’s disastrous 2019 Newsnight interview, Mr Berman pointed out that the then prince had ‘publicly offered to co-operate with our investigation’ – and questioned why it had not happened yet.

Mr Bloxome replied, criticising Mr Berman’s statements that Andrew had given investigators ‘zero co-operation’ and ‘a wall of silence’.

He wrote: ‘We cannot advise the Duke to speak to prosecutors who cannot be trusted to deal with him fairly nor to treat what he says or does confidentially. He has reluctantly accepted our advice that… there is no purpose to be served in continuing to try to assist further.’

In other internal emails between prosecutors, they accuse Andrew of spewing ‘factual inaccuracies’.

Further astonishing emails appear to show Andrew asking his friend Ghislaine Maxwell – who was convicted of child sex trafficking in 2021 – to supply him with ‘inappropriate friends’.

The emails, which are signed off ‘A xxx’, come from an account called The Invisible Man run by a former UK internet service provider called Pipex, which Andrew is known to have used. One sent in August 2001 reads: ‘How’s LA? Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?’

In a second message sent two days later from the same address, the author describes himself as ‘distraught’, saying: ‘I lost my valet on Thursday. He died in his sleep. He had been with me since I was 2.’ The Daily Mail reported in 2002 that Andrew’s long-serving valet Michael Perry ‘died suddenly’ the previous year.

Another email from Maxwell shows she asked a Peruvian businessman to show ‘Andrew’ around, asking him to arrange some ‘2 legged sight seeing’.

Meanwhile, a 2019 postcard said to be from Epstein to Larry Nassar just days before his suicide claimed that ‘our president’ loves ‘young, nubile girls’. Mr Trump was president at the time.

The US DoJ said the FBI decided it was a fake – because the handwriting did not match Epstein’s, the letter was postmarked out of Virginia three days after his death when he was jailed in New York, and the return address did not match the jail where Epstein was being held.

One of the most recent documents in the latest cache was an email from the Met Police sent in November, asking the FBI whether there were any ongoing investigations related to Andrew’s association with Epstein. It appears to have gone unanswered.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has always denied any wrongdoing.
