German influencer Laura Viktoria Härtig has died at 30, nearly three weeks after she was seriously injured in a bicycle crash during her honeymoon in Italy.

Härtig died Sunday following the June 23 collision in the Dolomites involving Peter Runggaldier, 57, a former Olympian who was riding a motorcycle at the time.

The crash happened on a road near the Sella Pass, Italian news outlets il Dolomiti and Trentino reported.

According to the reports, the impact shattered Härtig’s bicycle into several pieces, and she suffered severe injuries after being thrown onto the asphalt.

Emergency responders resuscitated Härtig at the scene before she was airlifted to San Maurizio Hospital in Bolzano, Italy, for urgent treatment.

Only weeks before the fatal crash, Härtig had shared photos from her wedding on Instagram, writing in the caption: “Soulmate for life.”

Italian media reported that the Trento Prosecutor’s Office was investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Runggaldier, who represented Italy in skiing during the 1994 and 1998 Winter Olympics, on Tuesday posted a message to Instagram in Italian speaking about the deadly incident.

‘Dear friends, in regard to the serious road accident in which I was involved, I ask you to respect my moment of pain and my need for confidentiality,’ Runggaldier said in the message. ‘My thoughts go out to all the people involved and their families.’

‘I trust in your sensitivity and please understand that at this time I will not give any interviews or statements.’

A message posted on her Instagram page on Thursday paid memorial to the late content creator, marking the dates of her life from January 25, 1996-July 12, 2026.

‘Laura went to her beloved mountains at sunset,’ read the message, which was translated from her native German. ‘Mountains where the sun always shines, the finest powder snow lies, the best routes await, and there’s a cabin with all her favorite snacks.’

‘That’s where she is now, waiting for us.’
