Jake Tapper has been accused of heartlessly hounding Hunter Biden as his older brother Beau lay dying of brain cancer in 2015.
The second son of Joe Biden made the claims in a bombshell interview with Breaker Wednesday.
‘It would be impossible to forget or misremember something that upsetting and out of line during one of the toughest moments of my life,’ remarked the 55-year-old following his pardon for federal gun and tax-related charges in December.
He added how after ignoring several calls he saw were from the CNN host, he received one from a blocked number.
It was Tapper, he said – offering a rare interview to the New York-based media newsletter.
A day before, Tapper had slammed the Democratic scion as ‘sleazy’ and ‘unethical’, during a sitdown meant to promote his new, very critical book.
The statement claims that the ex-president’s close allies consistently concealed indications of his decline and argues that Tapper, alongside other established media members—and indeed, the American public—were simply victims of this concealment.
In response, Hunter characterized Tapper as deceitful, divulging that he instructed the State of the Union host to ‘go f**k’ himself during a phone call after what was purportedly Tapper’s numerous attempts at securing an interview in May 2015.

‘Go **k yourself, Jake,’ Hunter allegedly said, he told Breaker.
Beau, who had been one year Hunter’s senior, died at Walter Reed Hospital shortly after.
‘It happened. I was furious,’ he added of the series of calls and a confrontation that occurred nearly three years later.
The two had a heated face-to-face at the 2018 Super Bowl in Minneapolis after Hunter walked up to the CNN host and put his arm around his back.
The feud with Tapper however did not end there, ‘multiple’ sources and Hunter himself confirmed to Breaker.
The accounts caused Tapper to issue his own statement dismissing Hunter’s story as ‘a patently false lie’.
He did concede that the subsequent 2018 encounter described by Hunter and witnesses took place.
Witnesses previously told Puck they heard Hunter tell Tapper he ‘would knock [him] out’ if they had not been around so many people.
Tapper, meanwhile insisted in a statement: ‘Hunter did once confront me at a Super Bowl party, but it was over an unrelated issue.’
He said Hunter instead confronted him over ‘coverage he wrongly believed I had done regarding’ his drug use and divorce.
‘[W]hich I actually had never done,’ Tapper added.

Hunter however, said the confrontation stemmed from the intrusive calls which Tapper’s people say never occurred.
A spokesperson for Tapper denied this as well, saying: ‘The idea that Jake could do something so heartless… completely defies logic.’
The rep added how Tapper – who sat down with the likes of both Katie Couric and Megyn Kelly the day before to promote his book – scored a sitdown interview with Biden in 2022, painting it as proof he was in the administration’s good graces.
The spokesperson also pointed to an interview Tapper conducted with Biden when he was the vice president, back in 2020.
‘I did ask Joe Biden to be transparent about his health records in an interview in 2020,’ Tapper continued.
‘But then he wasn’t,’ Kelly interrupted, welcoming Tapper to the show to shill his book.
‘No, he wasn’t transparent at all,’ Tapper admitted.
‘And when you sat with him again… you didn’t ask him about it,’ Kelly then pointed out, recalling Biden’s falls and gaffes.

‘You sat right across from him and you asked none of that, notwithstanding the fact that he had promised you he would be fully transparent about his health issues.’
‘That’s true,’ Tapper admitted – eventually saying he and other left-leaning journalists left the American public down.
While speaking to Couric – a former legacy media journalist who has been more critical than her contemporaries than most – Tapper was asked to explain Hunter’s role in the Biden family.
Fueled by information garnered through interviews with more than 200 people for the book, Tapper answered: ‘I think Hunter was driving the decision-making for the family in a way that people – he was almost like a chief of staff of the family.
‘It’s bizarre because I think he is provably demonstrably unethical, sleazy, and prone to horrible decisions,’ Tapper – whose book is called Original Sin – added.
‘After his brother died, he cheated on his wife with his brother’s widow and then got her addicted to crack.
‘I don’t have a lot of personal regard for him, and just based on having nothing to do with,’ he added later on.
‘I barely have ever met him. I’ve met him like once or twice.’
