Vice President JD Vance’s four-year-old daughter, Mirabel, has emerged as the unexpected star of the midterm campaign trail.
JD Vance, 42, and his wife, Usha Vance, 40, were photographed boarding Air Force Two at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Friday as they traveled to Ohio to campaign for local Republican candidates ahead of the midterm elections.
However, it was their young daughter who captured the most attention after appearing to skip excitedly ahead of her parents as she made her way onto the aircraft.
Video showed JD and Usha, accompanied by their four-year-old daughter and newborn son, Alec, leaving a Marine Two helicopter before walking toward Air Force Two.
Wearing a green dress decorated with dinosaurs, Mirabel ran eagerly toward the plane, adding several playful hops to her journey.
She had tied a lavender sweater around her waist and paired the outfit with red-and-white sneakers. Large headphones covered her ears, protecting them from the helicopter’s noise.
Usha and JD followed behind, with the vice president carrying baby Alec while speaking with guards along the way.
JD wore a navy suit and blue tie for the trip, while Usha opted for a denim button-down shirt, jeans and white sneakers.

Mirabel’s six-year-old brother, Vivek, did not appear in the video. He had boarded the plane earlier while holding the family dog, Atlas.
Once the footage was shared on X, Mirabel quickly became a viral sensation, with users flooding the replies to comment on her cheerful appearance.
“Mirabel! Lol so cute!” one user wrote.
“Mirabel is the best,” another person agreed.
“Mirabel is my favorite diva, a true icon,” a third user joked.
“Mirabel living her best life,” read another comment, while a fifth user added: “Okay, this is adorable.”
The family outing came days after Usha was praised as a super mom when she nearly fell while carrying her newborn son but managed to regain her balance.
Usha was filmed stumbling as she stepped off a Marine Two helicopter at Joint Base Andrews on Monday. Two-month-old Alec was secured in a carrier against her chest at the time.

Thankfully, she caught herself, grabbing the railings of the staircase before regaining composure with a smile on her face.
The guards awaiting her at the bottom of the stairs didn’t move during the stumble.
Footage of the moment was shared on X where it went viral, as viewers praised the mom-of-four for handling the moment so gracefully.
‘The way she missed a step, caught herself, appeared to make a joke about it to the officers, all while holding a newborn,’ gushed one user.
Others slammed the men for not helping her when she tripped.
‘Not one person moved to help,’ wrote another viewer.
‘Why did no one help her off? She had a baby with her…’ wondered someone else.
‘None of those men moved an inch to try to help her. Shocking,’ read a fourth post.

He went on to thank ‘the incredible military doctors and staff members of Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit,’ describing them as a ‘blessing.’
