Jennifer Aniston surprised fans by mentioning her ex-husband Brad Pitt during a recent reunion with her “Friends” co-star Lisa Kudrow on Variety’s Actors on Actors series.
Aniston, now 57, who portrayed Rachel Green on the beloved sitcom alongside Kudrow’s character Phoebe Buffay from 1994 to 2004, praised Pitt, 62, as they reminisced about the show’s most memorable guest stars.
In 2002, Pitt guest-starred in the show’s eighth season, playing Will Colbert, a former high school friend of Monica (Courteney Cox) and Ross (David Schwimmer), who had a grudge against Rachel. At that time, Pitt and Aniston were still married, though they parted ways in 2005.
Aniston engaged Kudrow with, “Did you like the Thanksgiving episodes? Those were fun.”
Kudrow, known for her role in “The Comeback,” replied, “Yes. Those were great, the Thanksgiving episodes. When Brad was on, that was hilarious,” prompting Aniston to agree, “I know. How funny. The movie stars that came on Friends. Brad, Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts, Isabella Rossellini.”
Aniston continued, “We had so many – Sean Penn. They were always nervous. Remember? I always found it fascinating how nervous they were.”
