LeAnn Rimes stirred up a flurry of online reactions when she was captured on video crying intensely during a jaw tension-relief session.
The 43-year-old singer has now addressed the backlash surrounding her emotional display in the viral ‘deep jaw release video,’ shared by Human Garage, a group dedicated to promoting self-healing through specialized fascial movements.
In a live stream posted on Saturday, Rimes joined the organization’s founder, Garry Lineham, to confront critics who accused her of feigning the emotional outburst.
“People commented saying things like, ‘Of course the camera was on, she was going to cry,'” Rimes remarked with a laugh. “I can act, but not that well,” she added, humorously dismissing the skepticism.
She continued, “I’m not as good as Meryl Streep. That was genuine, and I’ve spent the last decade of my life striving for honesty. People are finally seeing the real me, without any facade.”
The controversial video, which drew criticism from Brandi Glanville, comes 17 years after the infamous Eddie Cibrian scandal. It depicts Rimes lying on a bed as Lineham inserts a gloved hand into her mouth, while a nurse holds her steady.

The singer, 43, sent shockwaves over the internet when she was seen sobbing uncontrollably during a hands-on procedure to release tension in her jaw in the March 31 video
The technique triggered an emotional response in Rimes, who burst into tears within seconds.
‘Say that part of my life is over,’ Lineham instructed her, to which she replied, ‘That part of my life better be over.’
After a few deep breaths and placing a hand on her face, Rimes then said, ‘Oh my God, you just don’t realize how much tension is in there.’
‘Until it’s gone,’ Lineham finished for her.
Human Garage originated as a clinic in Venice, California and evolved into an online program with an aim to help people self-heal, according to its website.
The company specializes in fascial maneuvers to release physical and emotional stress and improve alignment so people can look and feel their best.
The caption accompanying the video post read, ‘Healing isn’t always quiet. Sometimes it’s a physical letting go of things we didn’t even know we were carrying.
Referring to Rimes’ session, it continued, ‘You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned.

In January, the Blue hitmaker shared a glimpse of her plasma exchange treatment, aka ‘blood washing’

‘The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress. When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck “locks” to protect us. By using the maneuvers to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move.’
Some fans accused the star of acting or being overly dramatic with one Reddit user commenting, ‘Her reactions are always too much.’
‘Crazy what a camera does to some people,’ an Instagram follower wrote.
Rimes has documented several other unconventional and expensive health treatments on social media, including a $45,000 therapeutic plasma exchange, aka ‘blood washing,’ and various detoxes such as magnetic field treatments.
