Livvy Dunne lands stunning $2m New York apartment

Livvy Dunne has secured a lavish apartment in New York City, a mere three months after her attempt to purchase Babe Ruth’s former residence ended in disappointment.

The former LSU gymnast faced rejection from a co-op board when she tried to buy a property in the bustling metropolis earlier this year.

According to the New York Post, the 23-year-old has moved past that setback and is now joining the vibrant community of social media influencers in the city’s West Village.

Documents reviewed by the outlet reveal that Dunne, who is in a relationship with MLB star Paul Skenes, purchased a one-bedroom, two-bathroom condo for $1.95 million in the area.

After being denied entry to the quieter Upper West Side, Dunne has been warmly received by her new neighbors in the West Village, known for its celebrity-friendly atmosphere.

In a conversation with the Post, Tamir Shemesh, one of Dunne’s new neighbors, expressed his thoughts: “There was no hesitation, but we’re thrilled to welcome celebrities, provided they don’t disturb the peace.”

Pittsburgh star Skenes will become just the latest baseball star to set foot inside the building, with the likes of Mats Zuccarello and Carl Hagelin previously residing there.

Shemesh also claimed that Jerry Seinfeld and Nelly Furtado both also rented properties inside the building during points in their careers.

Dunne’s move comes just three months after her viral embarrassment which came after her bid to purchase Babe Ruth’s former apartment was brutally rejected.

Her $1.59m cash offer was rejected by the building’s management and the New York Post claimed tenants were unhappy because she had overshared about the potential purchase to her 5.4million Instagram followers.

‘She messed up,’ one neighbor told the outlet, explaining that she was too visible on social media. ‘The board got p*ssed because she put it on her Instagram.’

A devastated Dunne took to social media – ironically – in the aftermath of her rejection to claim that she was ‘so upset’ and had ‘no clue’ why she was turned down.

‘So a few months ago, I decided I was going to make my first real estate purchase, which is so exciting and I was gonna get an apartment in New York City,’ Dunne, who is said to be worth a staggering $6million, explained.

‘But the gag was… it was Babe Ruth’s apartment.’

Babe Ruth

In summer, Dunne revealed she was blocked from buying Babe Ruth’s old New York apartment

New York Yankees icon Ruth, who died back in 1948 at the age of 53, lived in the apartment with his second wife, Claire Merritt Ruth, and their adopted daughter Julia Ruth Stevens, from 1920-40.

The baseball legend’s lavish former home is priced just under $1.6million – and Dunne said she had agreed to pay for it in cash.

However, just as she appeared to have landed the historic space, Dunne and boyfriend Paul Skenes were dealt a major blow.

‘The week that I’m supposed to get my keys to my brand new apartment, I get a call… the co-op board denied me,’ she recalled. ‘So pretty much the people in the building voted to not have me live there. Which is fine.

‘Honestly, it wasn’t financial. For all I know, they could’ve been Alabama fans and I went to LSU. Like, I have no clue.

‘Maybe they didn’t want a public figure living there, but I was literally supposed to get the keys, and that week they denied me.
