Matt LeBlanc is nearly unrecognizable after Super Bowl ad

He’s stepping back into the limelight as a key figure in an exciting new Super Bowl advertisement.

However, Friends icon Matt LeBlanc is presenting a very different look from the polished image he portrays in his latest Dunkin’ Donuts commercial.

In this amusing advertisement, LeBlanc joins forces with Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston and Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander, with Dunkin’ aficionado Ben Affleck leading the charge.

Contrary to his sleek commercial persona, LeBlanc opted for a more laid-back style during a weekend outing.

Instead of the neat black shirt and impeccably styled silver hair seen in the ad, he sported a casual ensemble of a cap, V-neck tee, and joggers while visiting a convenience store at a Los Angeles gas station on Sunday.

The same day, a teaser for LeBlanc’s full Dunkin’ Donuts commercial was unveiled, featuring Affleck, 53, seeking the trio’s thoughts on an unaired pilot he created back in 1995.

The ad begins right after the three stars watched Affleck’s project, a tape labeled ‘Network Pilot ’95 v3’.

The three legends are quiet as an unaware and jovial Affleck asks for their feedback.

‘Well, reactions, thoughts, love? Affection?’ he says as Aniston shakes her head. ‘Hit me up, hit me up. What’s hot now: cringe. I have monster cringe. Golden cringe.’

An incredulous Alexander mumbles to the other two, ‘I don’t think he directed Argo,’ referring to the filmmaker’s Oscar-winning film.

Undeterred, Affleck continues: ‘Did I tell you I destroyed this, burnt it, and disposed of all the copies? Yes I did. Good news: I lied to you.’

LeBlanc, on the other hand, was rather impressed by what he saw. ‘Can I get a copy?’ he asks.

‘No one,’ Aniston stresses with a tense tone, ‘No one can see this.’

The commercial sees Dunkin Donuts superfan Ben Affleck seeking feedback on his ‘cringe’ project from the 90s stars

‘Uhh yeah. It’s only going to air once,’ Affleck replies.

‘Still holds up!’ LeBlanc says.

‘Oh God, Matthew,’ an exasperated Aniston replies.

It marks a return to the small screen for LeBlanc, who in recent years has pivoted from Hollywood in favor of running a car dealership.

The television star has not appeared in any film or TV projects since the Friends HBO reunion special in 2021, previously saying he was ‘taking some time off.’

His last acting gig was as Adam Burns on CBS series, Man with a Plan, between 2016 and 2020.

In 2024, Matthew’s Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow revealed the cast of Friends — Kudrow, Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, LeBlanc, and the late Matthew Perry — only met once in the 17 years between the series’ end in 2004 and their 2021 reunion on HBO Max.

‘We’d only had dinner, the six of us, once before since the show ended,’ Kudrow admitted on the Dinner’s on Me podcast hosted by Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Despite the long hiatus, the cast picked up right where they left off when they finally convened for dinner 10 years after the finale.

‘Just us at someone’s house and [we] had dinner, and like, didn’t miss a beat,’ Kudrow said.

Friends was a critical and award-winning success, earning a total of 62 Emmy nominations over its 10-season run.

The show won six Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2002, and Aniston and Kudrow both received individual acting awards for their iconic portrayals of Rachel Green and Phoebe Buffay.
