HAWTHORNE, Fla. – Patrick Lendell Green, 49, and Shawanna Latisha Williams, 47, face charges of drug trafficking after allegedly mentioning drugs during jail phone calls.

Williams was taken into custody on July 26 following a traffic stop for driving with an expired tag. Though she reportedly did not consent to a vehicle search, a K-9 team indicated the presence of drugs, leading to the discovery of 3.25 grams of “crack” cocaine, a loaded revolver, and a marijuana pipe. She was charged with possession of cocaine, intent to sell cocaine, possession of a firearm during a felony, maintaining a drug vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was released on $67,500 bail, but during a phone call from jail to Green on that day, Green allegedly asked her, “Did they catch you with all of it?” and she replied, “No.” He reportedly commented, “Everyone calling you now, trying to buy some now… They were watching you, they are probably watching me, too. You got to be careful now; I do, too.”

On August 20, a traffic stop was instigated by an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy on a vehicle driven by Green, whose driver’s license had been suspended. Green purportedly fled for about three-quarters of a mile until corralled by another patrol car. The search is reported to have yielded 3.22 grams of marijuana, leading to charges of fleeing with active lights and sirens, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, and driving on a suspended license. Judge Susan Miller-Jones set his bail at $5,000.

On August 21, deputies executed a search warrant at the duo’s residence, a rented property owned by the Alachua County Housing Authority, marked with a “Zero Drug Tolerance” sign. The search reportedly uncovered approximately 48.2 grams of cocaine, about 12.8 grams of marijuana, a single pressed fentanyl pill, and a razor blade carrying cocaine residue alongside items linked to both individuals.

Green reportedly made a call to an unknown person from the jail and asked, “What did they find… everything?”

On August 21, Green faced additional charges of trafficking in cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a drug dwelling, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His record shows six felony convictions and six misdemeanor convictions (all non-violent), with a prior state prison sentence concluded in 2016. Judge Jonathan Ramsey increased his previous bail of $5,000 by an additional $132,000.

Williams was subject to a warrant issued on August 28 and was apprehended the day before. She now faces charges of trafficking in cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a drug dwelling, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also has three misdemeanor convictions and was on pre-trial release in relation to the July incident. Judge Jonathan Ramsey set her bail at $210,000.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
