Police release new CCTV in hunt to find missing woman, 29

Authorities have unveiled fresh CCTV footage as part of their urgent efforts to locate a woman who vanished over 50 days ago after leaving a hospital.

The search continues for 29-year-old Holly Collinson, whose family in Leicestershire reported her missing on Friday, April 10.

Prior to her disappearance, Ms. Collinson traveled to Newquay in Cornwall in March.

She is described as a white woman with a slim physique, standing at 5 feet 7 inches, and possessing blue eyes.

Ms. Collinson was known for her distinctive dreadlocks, which have been dyed in shades of black, pink, red, and plum.

In one of the last known sightings, she was dressed in a black coat, black trousers, and a short-sleeve black Adidas shirt. It is possible she is using a crutch for mobility.

Ms Collinson had straight dark hair with the upper half of the hair plum to red in colour and darker on the bottom half which was below shoulder length.

Police said she was last seen leaving Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro on March 31 at 10.10am.

These CCTV images show Ms Collinson after she left hospital wearing a green jumper over her gown and carrying a guitar without a case

She was wearing a hospital gown, a green jumper and trainers with black and yellow bags underneath used as socks.

The 29-year-old had a white plastic bag with her and a black guitar.

However police said they anticipate that Ms Collinson may have changed her clothing since being discharged.

Detectives believe that after leaving hospital, she boarded a bus carrying her guitar and crutch, wearing the bags under her shoes and carrying a clear bag of belongings. Ms Collinson is known to travel using Cornwall’s bus network.

She was carrying a white bag with a black logo on it and the words ‘patient property’. The 29-year-old is believed to have used yellow and black bags as socks.

The day before attending hospital she was seen on Tregolls Road in Truro. Ms Collinson had been wearing large shaped sunglasses, blue jeans and a large black cap, carrying a black guitar and a light-coloured canvas type handbag.

The guitar she had been carrying is described as a black Takamine electric acoustic guitar, an identifiable feature being this was missing a battery pack leaving a four-inch hole at the topside of the guitar, which was not in the case.

The missing woman had been using a Samsung A52 and an iPhone at the time of her disappearance.

She left her belongings at a caravan site in the Newquay area. They have since been removed however police are appealing for information that could lead to finding the items.

DS David Squire, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said: ‘Since our first appeal we have received a number of calls from the public with information and possible sightings of Holly, but these have so far not led us to locate her.

‘We are working tirelessly to try and find Holly, and although these new images may seem like small clues, we are hoping they may prove significant in some way.

‘On behalf of the investigation team I would like to thank everyone who has contacted us, or shared our appeals.

‘We are continuing to ask the public to report anything they may have noticed that didn’t seem right at the time, or has stuck in their minds since.

‘We know Holly was in the Truro area on Monday 30 March and Tuesday 31 March but it is possible she may have travelled further afield since.

‘We have also heard from a number of members of the public who have suggested that an e-fit issued in relation to a body found in Camborne earlier this month could be Holly.

‘We can confirm that this isn’t the case but would like to thank those who got in touch.

‘Anybody with any information – no matter how small you think it may be – is asked to call us on 999 quoting log 733 of Friday 1 May.’
