The NYPD is seeking the public’s help identifying two suspects accused of targeting people because of their religion in separate hate crime incidents in New York City.
Police said one suspect is wanted in connection with an antisemitic assault Tuesday morning in Brooklyn that left a man injured.
The 64-year-old victim was approached by an unidentified man near Kings Highway and Ocean Avenue in Midwood at about 8:15 a.m.
According to police, the attacker made anti-Jewish statements, shoved the victim to the ground and then ran off.
The victim was taken to Maimonides Midwood Community Hospital in stable condition and treated for injuries to his back and waist.
In a photo released by the NYPD on Wednesday night, the suspect is shown with dark brown hair, a mustache and a medium build. Police said he was carrying a black backpack and wearing dark gray pants, a light gray polo shirt and a red baseball cap at the time of the attack.

Investigators are also asking for help locating another suspect wanted in an alleged anti-Muslim incident in Queens last week.
Police said that suspect threatened two young women aboard a Q66 MTA bus near Northern Boulevard and 51st Street in Woodside at around 6 p.m. last Thursday.
He threatened to harm the women, 19 and 21, while brandishing a box cutter and hurling anti-Muslim remarks at them, according to police.
The suspect, seen in the image released by the NYPD wearing a navy tracksuit and baseball cap with a slim build, then fled the bus.
No injuries were reported, cops said.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating both the Brooklyn assault and Queens threat.
