Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews has backed Federal Labor leader Anthony Albanese after his gaffe over the unemployment rate.
Mr Albanese was speaking to media yesterday and was unable to answer correctly when asked the current unemployment rate, or the RBA cash rate.
But Mr Andrews said the Federal Opposition Leader had “always delivered” when in government and opposition.
“He’s passionate. He has a very strong and positive plan on issues like aged care… making sure we grow wages,” Mr Andrews said.
The Victorian Premier said he was looking to campaign with Mr Albanese at some point between now and the May 21 federal election.
