After a headline-grabbing wedding in July, complete with a Madison Square Garden ceremony that seemed to bring New York City to a standstill, Taylor Swift and her new husband, Travis Kelce, retreated into what friends describe as newlywed bliss.
For a brief stretch, the couple enjoyed the rare luxury of slow mornings, shared workouts and quick getaways — including a trip to Laguna, California, the weekend after their ceremony, where they attended the wedding of one of Kelce’s close friends.
But that honeymoon-like calm appears to have been interrupted. Swift, 36, has reportedly been spending more time on her own since Kelce, also 36, was called back to Missouri in late July to begin training camp with his Kansas City Chiefs teammates ahead of the new NFL season.
“She is frustrated because football is taking up so much of his time — he works overtime — causing them to not see each other a ton, and she would like more,” an insider told Our News Outlet.
“Travis being in training camp has meant she has had to go out alone. They do not see each other every single day, but they see each other every single week — they are very dedicated to that.”
Still, the newlyweds are said to have a plan in place to stay closely connected whenever their demanding careers keep them apart.

‘They talk on the phone all the time, and text, FaceTime, all of it. He sends her flowers too when she is out of town, her favorites like roses and orchids,’ added the insider.
‘They just deal with it. They know they both have massive careers, and they love what they do, so they give each other freedom.’
While Kelce, also 36, has been focusing on football before what many expect to be his final season in the NFL, Swift has been going it alone and jet-setting between Los Angeles, New York and London.
‘That girl does not really sit still, she has tons of energy,’ said our insider. ‘She had to hit parties, perform and do interviews without her husband by her side.’
Swift was in Los Angeles in mid-August to promote her Eras Tour documentary, which has received five Emmy nominations. She went to the Grammy Museum and sang I Knew It, I Knew You, and also hung out with director Glenn Weiss at a pre-Emmy event.
Then, she performed at an Emmy For Your Consideration event and attended a function at sound designer John Ross’s house.
‘She is making all the right moves to support the documentary,’ our insider said. ‘She received recognition as both a performer and producer for the Disney+ special.’
Swift may even attend the Emmy ceremony on Monday, September 14. If she does, she will again be alone as Kelce has his first game of the new NFL season against the Denver Broncos that night in Kansas City.

Being forced to spend time apart is nothing uncommon for the newlyweds, whose hectic schedules have provided a challenge ever since they first started dating back in 2023. Swift was on the road with her mammoth world tour while Kelce was hopping from state to state for games.
When he was afforded the time, he joined Swift on the road, jumping onstage for a show in London and even traveling to Buenos Aires, Argentina. They also enjoyed a holiday in Australia.
But despite years of juggling work commitments, Swift has struggled in the weeks since tying the knot at MSG and is missing having quality time together.
‘It’s harder now that they are married because she wants more, for sure. It is understandable,’ said our source. ‘They have been married almost two months, but she has not seen him a ton. She misses their morning workout sessions and cooking together.
‘She loves having her hunky man by her side, holding her hand and opening doors for her, watching out for her. He makes her feel not just loved, but also protected. She is so madly in love that she wants to spend more time with Travis.
‘But she understands he is putting in the hours because he wants to be his very best this season.’
The source continued: ‘She refuses to complain to him about his absence, because she knew what she signed up for, she knew he would be at practice after they got married. She knew the honeymoon would be short so she can’t complain at all, and she doesn’t want to guilt Travis. That is not her deal, she never shames or complains,’ said our source.
‘She wants to support him so he can do his best this season.’

Swift will be cheering Kelce on in what many think will be his last ever season in the NFL
And while Swift has a decision to make between attending the Emmys or Kelce’s first official game of the new season in September, she will still be cheering him on at every opportunity in the coming weeks.
‘She loves being a WAG,’ our source added.
During her downtime, Swift has been ‘busy by working on new music and a new documentary for the future,’ they continued.
She is in a ‘very creative mode’ where she is coming up with lyrics and melodies and ‘vibes’ and talking to the Haim sisters for inspiration as ‘they are great at guiding her.’
But the weeks after the wedding have also been a chance for her to ‘chill out in a big way.’
The source said: ‘Taylor has not posted on Instagram in almost three months and it has been a while since she has been on a red carpet, so she is letting her hair down a bit and loving it.’
