On Sunday, emergency medical teams swiftly responded to a series of suspected drive-by shootings that unfolded between Kochav Yair and Tzur Natan in central Israel. According to Magen David Adom (MDA), these incidents resulted in one fatality and six others suffering from gunshot wounds, with two individuals in serious condition and three sustaining moderate injuries.
MDA paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) confirmed the death of a man in his 30s, who succumbed to gunshot wounds at the scene. The medical teams provided immediate care and transported the injured to nearby hospitals, including Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba and Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah.
The Israel Police reported that one of the shootings occurred at a gas station in Kochav Yair, where two individuals were injured, as confirmed by medical officials.
Paramedics from MDA noted that a man, approximately 30 years old, was found with no signs of life due to penetrating injuries and was declared deceased on the spot.
Additionally, medical teams attended to a man around 40 years old, who was in a serious and unstable condition due to penetrating injuries, and transported him to Meir Medical Center for further treatment.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that troops, alongside other security forces, were deployed to the Sal’it and Tzur Yitzhak regions following reports of multiple shootings. Security personnel successfully neutralized one attacker at the scene, and another was apprehended. Both suspects are Israeli citizens.
Soldiers and medical teams were conducting searches for additional terrorists and providing treatment to the wounded, while reinforcements were en route, the IDF said.
Police from the Central District, including Tira station officers, were at the scene gathering evidence and searching for suspects.

The circumstances are under investigation.
Magen David Adom said a report was received at 10:40 a.m. of two men wounded on Route 5533 near Tzur Natan, where medics are treating two casualties, including one who is unconscious.
