Uber Eats Driver Attacks Barstool Employee in Wild NYC HQ Brawl

A chaotic confrontation inside Barstool Sports’ Manhattan headquarters on Monday was captured on video, showing a delivery worker and a company employee trading blows during a violent hallway brawl.

Barstool founder and president Dave Portnoy shared the footage on X, saying the incident began after a delivery app courier was asked to leave the office and allegedly attacked the company’s security guard.

“We had a crazy scene today at Barstool World Hq,” Portnoy wrote. “An uber eats driver got in a fight with Gia in the hallway over her order. Our security guard Dan went into the hall to tell the guy to leave and he attacked him.”

Police said officers responded to the company’s Midtown office on Seventh Avenue at about 2 p.m. after a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation, with a 31-year-old man accused of punching a 45-year-old man several times in the face.

The NYPD said a “person of interest” was taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not yet detailed what sparked the confrontation.

The tense video posted by Portnoy appears to show the delivery worker knocking the security guard to the floor before dragging him across the ground.

Moments later, the Uber Eats courier is seen on his knees striking the guard in the face, according to the footage.

Three Barstool employees then rush in to separate the two and restrain the man, who continues swinging as they attempt to hold him back, the video shows.

The staffers were able to pull the courier off the guard and then called 911.

The security guard was treated at the scene, cops said.

“Danny may need a few stiches [sic] and a couple beers,” Portnoy said about the guard. “All in all another day at the Stool.”

Portnoy also took the time to sarcastically thank Mayor Zohran Mamdani for the attack, whom he has said he’d “love to” run against in a mayoral election.

“Shoutout Mandami’s [sic] NYC,” Portnoy bitterly remarked in his post.

Uber said it has removed the delivery driver from its app.

“We are horrified by the conduct displayed. Violence is never tolerated, and we’ve removed the courier’s access to the Uber platform,” a company spokesperson told The Post in a statement. “We stand ready to assist police however we can.”

Barstool didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
