The Metropolitan Police have reached out to former close protection officers of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, urging them to reflect on whether anything they witnessed or heard might be pertinent to the ongoing review of the Jeffrey Epstein files. This appeal comes amid a broader investigation into potential criminal activities linked to Epstein.

Currently, the police have not identified any misconduct involving these protection officers. However, they have assured the public that any new allegations will be thoroughly evaluated as per standard procedures. The Met Police emphasized their commitment to examining all relevant information that may arise during the review process.

In an effort to uncover the truth, Scotland Yard is collaborating with U.S. authorities to investigate whether London airports were used as conduits for human trafficking and sexual exploitation. This international cooperation aims to shed light on any possible connections to Epstein’s illicit activities.

The investigation was intensified following claims from a former officer, who suggested that certain members of the royal family and the Specialist Protection (RaSP) command might have been witnesses to abuse at Epstein’s secluded Little St. James island. Such allegations have fueled the urgency for a comprehensive inquiry.

In a statement released today, the Met Police acknowledged the recent disclosure of extensive court documents by the U.S. Department of Justice concerning Jeffrey Epstein. They expressed awareness of the allegations involving London airports in facilitating trafficking and exploitation.

As part of their ongoing efforts, the Met is actively pursuing additional information from international law enforcement partners to ensure a thorough assessment of these serious claims.

‘Separately, the Met is identifying and contacting former and serving officers who may have worked closely, in a protection capacity, with Andrew Mountbatten‑Windsor.

‘They have been asked to consider carefully whether anything they saw or heard during that period of service may be relevant to our ongoing reviews and to share any information that could assist us.’

‘While we are aware of the extensive media reporting and commentary about this matter, as of today, no new criminal allegations have been made to the Met regarding sexual offences said to have occurred within our jurisdiction.

‘We continue to urge anyone with new or relevant information to come forward. All allegations will be taken seriously and, as with any matter, any information received will be assessed and investigated where appropriate.

‘The action outlined above is independent of investigations or assessment work being carried out by other forces.

‘We are working with the national coordination group which has been set up to bring together affected forces to ensure consistency of approach, including access to appropriate expertise and guidance.’

As of today, ten UK police forces are confirmed to be assessing information realted to the Epstein files following claims including human trafficking, sexual assault and leaks of confidential information.

West Yorkshire Police today became the 10th to confirm it was looking into the recent release of more than 3million emails relating to late billionaire and paedophile Epstein.

Others poring through the files for potential evidence include the Metropolitan Police, Police Scotland and Thames Valley Police.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: ‘We are assessing the detail of the information that’s been made public to determine any potential links to the West Yorkshire area.’

The latest development comes following the news yesterday of former prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest by Thames Valley Police on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The ex-Duke of York, who has denied any wrongdoing, appears frequently in the newly released emails after being friends with Epstein, who died in jail in 2019.

There have been calls for Mr Mountbatten-Windsor to face the ‘full force of the law’ amid ongoing investigations surrounding British connections to Epstein’s offences.

Scotland Yard earlier this week confirmed it was examining the role of his royal protection officers.

Bedfordshire, West Midlands and Essex police forces are all examining flight logs linked to Epstein’s private jet dubbed the ‘Lolita Express’ and which used Luton, Birmingham and Stansted airports.

Police Scotland said it has not received any complaints but is ‘keen to speak to anyone with information’. Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were pictured at the royal residence Balmoral in 1999 when Andrew reportedly invited them to stay.

Force bosses have united to deal with the allegations, with a unit established by the National Police Chiefs’ Council.

Last week it emerged detectives from Scotland Yard and Thames Valley Police had spoken to Crown Prosecution Service lawyers. The former duke has always denied any wrongdoing.

Norfolk Constabulary – reviewing Epstein files but have not received specific allegations

West Yorkshire Police – The force said it was ‘assessing the detail’ in the files to determine ‘any potential links to the West Yorkshire area’

Thames Valley Police has said it is reviewing allegations Epstein sent a woman to Windsor in 2010 for a sexual encounter with Andrew.

It is also ‘assessing’ claims that Andrew and Peter Mandelson shared confidential material with Epstein.

Mandelson has denied any criminality in relation to the Epstein case and says that he did not find out the truth about Epsteins’ criminality until after his death in 2019

Dai Davies, a former head of royal protection, told the Daily Mail this week: ‘The truth is the public now is screaming out for the authorities to be seen to be acting.

‘I’ve been calling for it for some time, if there is evidence for Andrew to be questioned under caution, he should be interviewed.’

Experts said claims the former duke might have leaked sensitive information to Epstein while serving as UK trade envoy could amount to a national security breach.

Andrew, who was stripped of his remaining royal titles over his links to Epstein last year, was a UK trade envoy from 2001 to 2011.

The Epstein files appear to show that he used his position to leak sensitive information to Epstein, who died by suicide while awaiting his sex trafficking trial in 2019.

Andrew’s chief accuser Virginia Giuffre, who died by suicide last year, alleged she was forced to have sex with him on three occasions, including on Little St James, in the early 2000s. He has always denied the claims.

The former Duke of York was held on suspicion of misconduct in public office after a raid on his Sandringham home on his 66th birthday yesterday.

He looked visibly shocked as he left Aylsham police station in Norfolk last night after more than 11 hours in custody.

A convoy of police entered Royal Lodge this morning as searches of his former home entered a second day.

Officers are guarding the Windsor mansion and a large black tent has been erected close to one of its entrances. More than a dozen vehicles – many of them from Thames Valley Police – are on the grand driveway.

Meanwhile in Norfolk, where Andrew is now living, a police patrol car arrived at Wood Farm, Sandringham, at 6am.

Andrew’s elder brother King Charles has said ‘the law must take its course’ after expressing his ‘deepest concern’ over Thursday’s arrest.

Charles revealed the police would have his ‘wholehearted support and co-operation’ after his younger brother was held on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also support the King’s unprecedented statement following the arrest of William’s uncle Andrew at Sandringham on Thursday.

The King said in a statement released by Buckingham Palace at midday: ‘I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.

‘What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.

‘Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.

‘As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all’.

Multiple sources claim Buckingham Palace and the King were not informed in advance of the operation by detectives.
