The late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, is set to return to the airwaves on Tuesday night.
The Walt Disney Company, which owns ABC, announced on Monday that it had suspended the show after Jimmy Kimmel made contentious remarks about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
“Last Wednesday, we decided to halt the show’s production to prevent exacerbating an already delicate situation during a highly sensitive time for our nation,” a representative for Disney said. “This action was taken as we felt that certain statements were inappropriately timed and thus insensitive. Over the last few days, we have had meaningful discussions with Jimmy, and following those talks, we have decided to resume the show on Tuesday.”
