In a recent social media update, Ant Anstead opened up about a series of injuries he incurred during a soccer game. The post features an image of Anstead relaxing shirtless, showcasing the extent of his injuries: a torn labrum, a detached pectoral muscle, and a torn rotator cuff.

“October can officially go away!” Anstead expressed in his caption, reflecting on the challenging month. He shared that, in addition to his personal setbacks, three close friends received devastating diagnoses, prompting him to reevaluate his own health. “It kick started me to look closer at my health, and I went down many rabbit holes…. Diet, peptides, body scans, vitamins etc etc,” he explained.

He then recounted the unexpected accident during a soccer game that resulted in his injuries. “Then WHAMMO!! A freak footy accident and I detached my pectoral muscle and tore my rotator cuff and labrum!” Anstead wrote, illustrating the abruptness of the incident.

Following surgery, the 46-year-old TV personality acknowledged the necessity of rest. “I’m taking it as a sign!” he remarked, underscoring his newfound commitment to health. “I am going back down the health rabbit hole as I’m in the age group where I need to take this stuff more seriously! And be healthier and kinder to my body,” he concluded, highlighting his resolve to prioritize well-being and self-care.

The TV personality, 46, went on to explain that he is “forced to rest” following surgery.

“So I’m taking it as a sign! And I am going back down the health rabbit hole as I’m in the age group where I need to take this stuff more seriously! And be Healthier and kinder to my body.”

He concluded the post, “Any and all advice greatly appreciated…x 🙏🏻”

Fans of the semi-professional soccer player took to the comments thread to sympathize with the “Wheelers Dealers” host and offer advice.

“Get Well Soon Ant 🤞” one follower wrote, while another added, “🤦‍♂️ heal up buddy. Dang.”

“Healthy 5 -6 days a week. One cheat day. Everything in moderation. Life is short. Enjoy,” a third person advised, with a fourth chiming in, “Stop booze completely. Avoid sugar. Sleep well. And move, a lot.”

The boyfriend of two-time Oscar winner Renée Zellweger — who is also known for his volatile divorce from Christina Haack — made headlines in May for staying at the home of a wealthy divorcee while Zellweger filmed season 5 of “Only Murders in the Building” in New York.

A rep for the TV host told Page Six at the time that nothing romantic was happening between French and Anstead.

“Mr. Anstead is working mostly in the UK, and he has spent some of his limited time back in [Orange County] at his friend’s home,” they said at the time.

“His friend Jules has a separate, detached guest house, and the suggestion that their relationship is anything other than platonic is unacceptable and untrue.”

The TV host and “The Flip Off” star Haack, to whom he was married from 2018 to 2021, are apparently patching up their co-parenting relationship as well — they share son Hudson, 6.

“Teacher conference week… Hudzo is thriving!” Anstead wrote via Instagram in October while warmly referencing his ex-wife.

“I’m gonna give us a pat on the back! We doing a great job with this little chap! Nice work mum x.”
