Authorities in Boston said Friday that a 14-year-old has been taken into custody in connection with last week’s armed robbery of a children’s lemonade stand in South Boston.
Investigators said the incident unfolded Wednesday afternoon near West Ninth Street, where two suspects allegedly confronted the children running the stand, grabbed their cash box, and brandished a firearm.
Police said the teen who was arrested is now facing several weapons-related charges, including two counts of armed robbery and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.
Meanwhile, the second suspect connected to the case has not yet been apprehended and remains on the run.
