On Tuesday night, authorities apprehended a suspect following an incident where a vehicle crashed into a White House barricade, as reported by the Secret Service.
“At roughly 10:37 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, an individual drove into the Secret Service vehicle gate at 17th and E Street, NW, Washington, D.C.,” stated a spokesperson from the Secret Service.
The spokesperson further detailed, “U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division officers promptly arrested the suspect. Both the Secret Service and the Metropolitan Police Department inspected the vehicle and confirmed it posed no threat.”

The spokesperson mentioned that more details would be released following the investigation’s conclusion.
DC Fire and EMS informed Fox News of their support to the Secret Service during the investigation, after which they began clearing the area.
