The opening-night gala for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art lit up Los Angeles on Saturday with a spectacular drone show soaring above the museum’s spaceship-like building.
Captain America and R2-D2 appeared first, followed by the Millennium Falcon and the dragon featured in the hit Shrek films.
Founded by legendary filmmaker George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson, the Lucas Museum is devoted entirely to visual storytelling. The institution will welcome the public on Tuesday at its home in Los Angeles’ historic Exposition Park.
