Carnival Corporation, a major player in the cruise industry, recently revealed that a security breach compromised confidential data, including birth dates and passport numbers of passengers.
The company disclosed the breach on Wednesday, stating it occurred in April when a cybercriminal manipulated an employee through social engineering techniques, thereby gaining unauthorized access to their system.
Despite Carnival’s swift actions to halt the breach, the hackers managed to retrieve personal details of passengers. The cruise line specified that the compromised data included sensitive information.

However, the cruise line has not disclosed the exact number of customers impacted by this data breach.
