Chappell Roan has confirmed her exit from Wasserman Agency after its founder, Casey Wasserman, was named in the recently released batch of Epstein files.

“As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman, the talent agency led by Casey Wasserman,” she wrote in an Instagram story on Monday.

Roan emphasized the importance of upholding high standards within her teams, stating, “I am committed to safeguarding them. No artist, agent, or employee should feel compelled to tolerate behavior that starkly contradicts our moral compass. I profoundly respect and value the agents and staff who tirelessly support their artists, and I will not idly stand by.”

The “Good Luck, Babe” singer also stressed the need for artists to have representation that mirrors their own values. She remarked, “This choice underscores my belief that true transformation in our industry necessitates accountability and leadership that truly earns trust.”

Roan’s decision is not an isolated one, as several agents are also planning their departure from the agency following the Epstein file disclosures, according to The Wrap.

Recently unveiled documents by the Justice Department included email exchanges between Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell, with Maxwell suggesting a massage for Wasserman.

In response, Wasserman issued a statement through the New York Times, clarifying that he “never had a personal or business relationship with Jeffrey Epstein.”

The agency’s owner expressed regret over his communications with Ghislaine Maxwell, noting, “I deeply regret my correspondence with Maxwell which occurred over two decades ago, well before her terrible crimes were exposed.”

As the current chairman of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, Wasserman is now facing growing pressure to step aside.

In 2020, Maxwell was arrested for her ties to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. She went on trial for six felony sex trafficking charges, was convicted on five, and received a 20-year prison sentence.

Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail cell in August 2019, one month after he was indicted on federal sex-trafficking charges.

Other musicians and athletes represented by Wasserman Agency include Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay, among others.
