The injured party, an 18-year-old student from Chesterton High School, had reportedly fallen from a moving car near the intersection of Laurel Creek Drive and Catkin Circle. The student was promptly taken for medical attention, though details of their condition remain undisclosed.
The police explained that “senior assassin” is an unofficial game typically organized by high school seniors nearing graduation. It involves players trying to “eliminate” each other using water guns or similar non-harmful objects, often staging these pursuits outside school hours.
In light of safety issues, the student who organized the Chesterton High School Senior Assassin game has agreed to terminate this year’s event.
Authorities continue to investigate and are seeking any additional information from the public. Those with relevant details are encouraged to reach out to Cpl. Arwen LaMotte at 219-926-1136 or via email at alamotte@chestertonin.org.
