A U.S. Coast Guard crew from Station Fort Myers Beach rescued eight people, among them an infant and a child, after their boat overturned Friday afternoon near Florida’s Sanibel Causeway.
Rescue teams quickly reached the capsized vessel and carried out a fast, coordinated response, bringing everyone safely out of the water.
Officials said the outcome reflected the crew’s steady training, teamwork and readiness under pressure.
