No Coachella experience would be complete without an unexpected onstage incident, and this year’s festival saw Swedish electro-pop sensation Cobrah take center stage with a dramatic wardrobe malfunction.
During her electrifying performance at the Gobi stage on Sunday, Cobrah’s top unexpectedly gave way, leaving her exposed and prompting a swift exit mid-performance. The incident quickly became a hot topic among festival attendees and on social media.
Witnesses to the event described the mishap as happening in an instant. As one attendee recounted, Cobrah seemed to be adjusting her outfit moments before the sudden reveal and her hasty retreat from the stage, characterizing it as a blink-and-you-miss-it moment.

The crowd was left in a state of disbelief.
“I was completely floored,” shared one fan on Reddit, while another chimed in, “we were utterly shocked and felt terrible for her.”
In a move true to her style, Cobrah reportedly confronted the wardrobe malfunction with humor and grace before resuming her performance, as noted in various Reddit discussions.
Cobrah began the show wearing a nude-colored corset-style bodysuit with a structured fit and bra-like cups.
The look had boning and vertical paneling, with an edgy take on a crossover between burlesque dance wear and high-fashion lingerie.

After the wardrobe mishap, she came back on stage with an oversized black t-shirt over the same nude corset bodysuit.
Later, she returned to her signature risqué aesthetic, swapping into a black bra as part of a wardrobe change and continuing the performance along special guest Grimes without missing a beat.
Fans online largely praised Cobrah for how she handled the chaos, with multiple commenters noting she “handled it very well” and kept the energy high despite the awkward interruption.
Of course, not everyone was convinced it was entirely accidental, with some festivalgoers speculating the moment may have been partially intentional, though others quickly pushed back, chalking it up to Coachella’s notoriously unpredictable fashion-meets-heat environment.
