A Costco worker in a Seattle-area suburb is accused of deliberately driving into a co-worker who was riding a motorcycle, killing him in what investigators described in reports as an act fueled by anger and jealousy.
Tyler Sorensen, 22, has been charged with second-degree murder in the July 31 death of 20-year-old Jonathon Langdon in Issaquah, Washington.
According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Sorensen allegedly followed Langdon as he left a Costco parking lot, then swerved into his lane and hit his motorcycle.

Authorities said the impact threw Langdon from his motorcycle and into a metal signpost. Sorensen initially drove away, but returned about an hour later with a family member to talk to investigators, according to the Issaquah Police Department.
“The defendant, however, continued on his way without hesitation, only stopping to make sure his vehicle was okay to drive home,” the affidavit obtained by PEOPLE states.
Investigators say Sorensen told them he became jealous after watching Langdon hug a female co-worker whom he described as his girlfriend. After the hug, Sorensen allegedly texted friends that his “blood is boiling.”
The female co-worker told authorities she and Sorensen had never dated, according to PEOPLE, and said she had previously warned him that he was “crossing boundaries.”
Sorensen allegedly told law enforcement that his actions were “stupid” and that he only wanted to “spook” Langdon, claiming he did not intend to hit him with his vehicle.
“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of the victim as they process this tragic loss of life,” said Issaquah Police Chief Steve Mylett.
