Courtney Clenney, the OnlyFans model accused in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend at their Miami apartment, has pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and received a six-year prison sentence.
Clenney, 30, entered the plea Monday to the amended charge of manslaughter with a deadly weapon. Under the agreement, she acknowledged causing the stab wound that killed 27-year-old Christian Obumseli. The couple had been living together in the Miami apartment where Obumseli was fatally stabbed on April 3, 2022.
The plea deal calls for six years behind bars followed by five years of probation. During probation, Clenney must complete a mental health evaluation and any recommended treatment, as well as a substance abuse evaluation.

Several months after Clenney was arrested in August 2022, Obumseli’s family brought a civil lawsuit against her and multiple companies tied to the apartment building where the couple lived.
The lawsuit accused Clenney of battery and claimed the condominium, property management and security defendants failed to provide adequate protection, despite conditions the estate argued made the deadly incident foreseeable.
Court records reviewed by News Outlet show Clenney had resolved the civil claims against her before the criminal plea agreement was publicly disclosed.

On Dec. 3, 2025, the estate filed a notice of settlement “as to defendant, Courtney Clenney, only.” The claims against Clenney were then voluntarily dismissed with prejudice on March 4, 2026.
The civil lawsuit continued against other defendants after Clenney was dismissed. That final order came 10 days before Clenney’s attorneys announced on July 31 that she had reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in her second-degree murder case.

In a statement, Clenney’s attorneys confirmed that a plea agreement had been reached but said its terms would not become final unless accepted by the court.
They said the agreement would be formally presented at the Aug. 10 hearing and declined to disclose its terms beforehand. The public civil docket reviewed by News Outlet does not disclose the terms of Clenney’s settlement.

Clenney, 30, has remained in custody since August 2022 in connection with Obumseli’s April 3, 2022, death at the Miami apartment she rented.
Her attorneys have alleged that Obumseli was abusive and argued that Clenney was a battered partner. Obumseli’s family has maintained that he was the victim of domestic violence.
At the time of her arrest, Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle characterized Obumseli’s death as the culmination of a “tempestuous and combative relationship” that began in November 2020.
