The Internet Is Laughing at Debbie Wassermann Schultz and Her 'Alligator Alcatraz'

My colleague Bob Hoge covered remarks made by Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz (D-FL) during her visit to “Alligator Alcatraz.” She expressed surprise that individuals in detention were kept in – you guessed it – cages.

As Bob explained, what does she think a detention center/prison/jail is? It’s not the Ritz. It’s an enclosed barracks set up.

But she wasn’t at all concerned with the conditions under Joe Biden when illegal aliens were held in worse conditions and yes, in cages.

This situation mirrored the conditions under Joe Biden’s watch, as he permitted a surge of people to cross the border. This led to overcrowding in a holding facility, with individuals seated on the ground in the scorching heat of Ajo, Arizona, in 2023.

One of the problems that President Donald Trump solved. So of course, the Democrats are complaining.

But one of the other things she said had people laughing their heads off at her.

Oh, my gosh, Debbie wants us to know, “They brush their teeth where they poop, in the same unit.”

Many let her know most people “brush their teeth where they poop” in greater or lesser degrees of luxury. They reminded her this is common in those places called bathrooms.

It is both funny and a bit concerning that she didn’t seem to understand that a sink/toilet combination unit is common in prisons/detention centers. Didn’t she care when American citizens in prisons had such a set-up? Why is she suddenly concerned about this now, with illegal aliens? Yet she wants to propound on such things.

Again, how is this much different from many bathrooms?

Of course, the answer to all this craziness is that whatever the issue, it’s bad under Trump even if there’s nothing wrong with it. Even if it existed under Biden and the Democrats didn’t care.

It’s why no one trusts anything the Democrats have to say anymore.
