Dr. Jeff Gunter, who served as President Donald Trump’s ambassador to Iceland during his first term, made a bold accusation on News Saturday against Representative Susie Lee (D-NV). Gunter claimed that Lee has played a role in President Joe Biden’s alleged allowance of up to 20 million undocumented immigrants to cross the southern border.
Gunter, who aims to oust Lee if he becomes the Republican nominee in Nevada’s third congressional district, spoke to – News Saturday host Matthew Boyle as Democrats refused to stand up for Americans over illegal aliens during the State of the Union.
During the program, Gunter criticized Lee and other Democrats for reportedly prioritizing the needs of undocumented immigrants over American citizens. “Let’s be honest,” he stated. “She’s helped facilitate, alongside Joe Biden, the influx of illegal immigrants into our country. Up to 20 million people. She hasn’t stood with her constituents. Instead, she’s chosen undocumented immigrants over the American people, her district, and Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District. That’s why she’ll lose,” Gunter asserted.
Gunter also pointed out that Lee voted against the so-called Big Beautiful Bill, which he argued included critical benefits for Nevada, such as no taxes on tips.
“We’re a hospitality state, with 25% of jobs connected to that industry,” Gunter remarked. “Yet, she voted against eliminating taxes on tips and overtime. She opposed a bill designed to support workers. This shows she’s disconnected and supports undocumented immigrants over U.S. citizens.”
Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District is a pivotal swing district that could influence whether Republicans maintain control of the House in the 2026 midterm elections. Gunter emphasized the importance of energizing the Republican base.
Adding to the controversy, a 2021 report by Business Insider revealed that Lee had failed to properly disclose up to $3.3 million in financial trades, as required by the STOCK Act.
Nevada’s third congressional district is a key swing district that could decide if Republicans could defy history and maintain control of the House after the 2026 midterm elections. Gunter said that Republicans have to motivate the base.
A 2021 Business Insider report found that Lee failed to properly disclose as much as $3.3 million in financial trades per the STOCK Act.
The Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act of 2012 is a bipartisan bill that requires public disclosure of stock trading over $1,000 made on behalf of Congressmen or their spouses within 45 days:
In 2011, – News senior contributor and Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President Peter Schweizer rocked official Washington with his investigative revelations of insider trading by members of Congress. Left-leaning Slate hailed Schweizer’s blockbuster book on the topic, Throw Them All Out, “the book that started the STOCK Act stampede.”
One of the main figures featured in Schweizer’s Throw Them All Out was then-chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Spencer Bachus (R-AL), who announced he would not seek reelection after the book’s revelations.
The late Andrew – called on Bachus to resign after the revelations, and CBS’s 60 Minutes did an investigative report based on Schweizer’s revelations that won them the Joan Shorenstein Barone Award for excellence in Washington-based journalism.
Gunter remarked, “I’ve heard some people not call her Susie Lee, but Susie Madoff. How do you like that one? It’s really terrible and shameful what she’s done to the voters, what she’s done to Nevada, and she is here to represent us, but obviously, she has no desire to do that. She just wants to line her pockets, and she must be very comfortable with Susie Madoff.”
