DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. — A Duval County school bus driver has been terminated following allegations of engaging in a relationship with a student, as disclosed by one of the school district’s bus vendors to First Coast News on Tuesday.
The driver, identified as Gregory Strigglers, 31, was taken into custody on Monday, facing charges of soliciting or participating in lewd conduct with a student and the illegal use of a two-way communication device, according to jail records.
Sriggler had first met the student in May 2025, where they had exchanged contact information, per a police report.
Student Transportation of America, a company that Duval County Public Schools contracts for handling transportation services, issued a statement in light of Strigglers’ arrest:
“The safety and well-being of the students we transport is always our top priority. As soon as this allegation came to our attention, the driver was immediately removed from routes and is no longer employed with the company. We are fully cooperating with local authorities and Duval County Public Schools as the investigation continues. There is zero tolerance for actions that put students at risk. Safety is a non-negotiable condition of every driver’s employment with Student Transportation of America.”
